Welcome to your part of the Education Website.

You may have seen courts on the news on TV and in some drama programmes.

Courts are the place where decisions are made about problems. It could be because someone has broken the law or because people can’t agree and need help to come to a decision.

The Court Service is the organisation which runs the courts.
The judiciary e.g. judges and District Judge (Magistrates' Courts)
are responsible for administering justice in Northern Ireland.

This website takes you through how the courts work and what happens when people break the law.
